TESTIMONIAL

Dear Juice,

Hello! I am writing to sincerely thank you for the opportunity to attend the Aviation Forum/ Ascend Conference this summer with Semper Sky. It was an honor to represent the Semper Sky family at the event, and it was an opportunity I do not take for granted. I had an incredible time at the event, as well as exploring Las Vegas with members of the Semper Sky team.

Your funding covered my flight to Las Vegas, my hotel stay, dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House, and my entry ticket into the conference. Attending this event would not have been possible without your financial support. Between Guy Fierri’s restaurant and Ruth’s Chris, we sure did enjoy some excellent food! I am ecstatic with how the presentation went, and am looking forward to seeing how the video turned out! I am happy to share that I also made significant connections at the event. These included, but are not limited to, Laura McGill, the former President of AIAA who works at Sandia National Labs, and Richard Whals, an important NASA engineer, who has agreed to speak at the next UVA AIAA meeting.

Beyond this summer's trip, I want to thank you for your support over the past year. As I have told you before, in the Summer of 2023, I was frustrated with not having an internship. I had applied to numerous online opportunities but had not had any luck. I will forever be grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to become involved with Semper Sky through the Stemternship program last fall. My experiences with Semper Sky prepared me to find and succeed in my first full-time internship this past summer with Systems Planning and Analysis(SPA). Semper Sky truly helped launch my professional development.

My involvement with Semper Sky helped teach me valuable leadership skills. I will never forget how kind it was for you to attend my comedy show. Similarly, I appreciate all your efforts to help grow the AIAA student branch at AIAA. The Sustainable Island Design Challenge and your speech at “Aero Day” last fall were both amazing. You have made me look good as president multiple times! Good bosses show that they care about the people they manage outside of the workplace, which you did abundantly.I believe in what you are doing with Semper Sky, and hope to stay involved with the mission in the future. The same goes for any other future endeavors you may involve yourself in. Thank you for all of your support!
